Leon MacLaren was once asked what qualifications he had to be a tutor. His reply was that he breathed. Some might think this was a rather arrogant answer to a reasonable question, but if one considers what actually is being taught in the SES no qualifications are necessary apart from following the party line. As nobody ever graduates and there are no diplomas awarded, breathing should be a highly regarded qualification in school. Just think of all those who have stopped breathing, they no longer can tutor classes or hold lofty positions in the school.
Another qualification that comes to mind, would be how to make a good cup of tea. Where else does one get a good cuppa nowadays except in the SES or maybe Buckingham Place.
What qualifications does a SES tutor need?
Re: What qualifications does a SES tutor need?
You also need the ability to completely suspend your cognitive reasoning facilities, but then that's true of any religious belief (with apologies to any of you who may be offended by that)!
Pupil at St James Girl's School from 1979-1989, from age 4-14. Parents ex-members of SES.

Does God only exist in the human mind? And what difference would it make to the world if he was dead. After all the only thing people really know is that one day we are all going to die. So lets invent an afterlife where we can all live happily ever after. Hopefully there will be no SES tutors around to instruct us how to think when we reach heaven. And if we find there are a lot of SES tutors about, then we must have led a very wicked life here on earth and have reached the other place with lots of second line work serving cups of tea to the tutors for eternity. I agree with ET, you don't have to be crazy to join school but it sure helps!
