Re: 'Shame on You' by Clara Salaman
Well unfortunately Caldwell and MacLaren are no longer with us to acknowledge and face up to their pasts (although judging by D. Van Oyen's biography, the latter's last few months were filled with inner-torment). As for the rest of them, sadly, they still appear to have their heads very firmly... he...

Re: 'Shame on You' by Clara Salaman
Interesting posts here recently. I dont contribute as much these days but all I'll say in response is that anger (hatred even) can be a tremendously positive force when channeled correctly. So if that's what Clara has achieved with her book then good on her!

Re: 'Shame on You' by Clara Salaman
Thanks for pointing that out. I imagine it was just a threat, but would also be interested if anyone knows otherwise.

Re: 'Shame on You' by Clara Salaman
Can anyone shed any light on the legal action that the SES is taking against Clara regarding this book? Bonsai, where have you heard this? Its the first I've heard of it. All I knew is that they threatened the publishers with legal action if SES were named, but NOT that they were actually taking an...

Yes good memories of that holiday. Lots of kids running around and having fun down by the caves too. A brief taste of some freedom!

Re: 'Shame on You' by Clara Salaman
I have difficulty with reading books dating back to my experiences at St Vedast/SES. Oh the irony. So I'll be relying on updates here.

Re: Welcome to the new board!
I feel a special mention of gratitude must go to Daffy for taking over responsibility of the forum from Mike and transferring everything to this new and improved site. Without his sterling effort and long hours put in (e.g. clearing 1000s of spammer registrations), the forum risked becoming stagnant...

Pincham presided over a regime found by a QC to be responsible for crimes and abuses against innocent and defenceless children from as young as the age of four. As a result many of those children, now adult men and women, are suffering marked psychological damage to this day. The man was never sacke...

Indeed. I am still being contacted by former pupils that had never been informed about The Inquiry. From what I've observed there's still a hell of a lot of anger out there over people's experiences at St James/Vedast, especially when they learn that some of these former abusers are still being empl...

But you knew exactly what I meant. Oh really? How do you figure that out? Did you think I too was being disingenuous? Believe what you may, but actually I hadnt the slightest clue what you meant by your accusation. Thats why I asked you to support it. Anyway, it's hardly the main issue you're tackl...
