Positive Things

Postby Tootsie » Sun Oct 04, 2009 2:16 pm

After 14 years in school I can think of some positive things I did there.
1. Learned to make a decent cup of tea.
2. Each Christmas could wear my burgundy cummerbund with my dinner suit at school functions. Felt a bit like James Bond!
3. Through Abhinaya dance learned how to walk like an elephant.
Can't think of anything else at the moment.

I got introduced to Henry Geoege economics which I still think is really good.

Vicariously, I found out what "don't drink the Kool-Aid" really means.

Ooh this is a good thread, nice to think of some positives.

1. Developed a deep and lasting love of Shakespeare and literature in general (inspiring me to broaden my reading once I left)
2. Had my musical talents (mostly) nurtured and have not stopped playing and singing since
3. Hard times as a kid have made me grow up into a much less vacuous and celebrity/game show obsessed adult than I might have become (ok so this one is a little subjective, and I do like Strictly Come Dancing!)
4. I'm more able to empathise with others who have struggled in life

I think that's a good few to be going on with!
