After all if Mr Lacey can fess up to his class - it is surely a small step to apologise to those he has fessed up about. With outside help it might even be handled sensitively to minimise the impact on the pupils. What about Southwell? He's still there too. I wonder if he has confessed any past cri...

Hello mm, It's a creepy, weird, dark, and dangerous place. I'm speaking from first-hand experience. I was there in the 70s and 80s but I do not believe its a great deal different today. I know this because I still see and observe a lot of the members today and they haven't changed at all. The only r...

I am finding that harder to put down than I think I would should their purpose be malicious. Is it really relevant whether or not they are overtly malicious? How about: insidious, sly, perverted, dark, non-transparent, irrational, out of touch with PLANET REALITY, etc etc etc ? (Personally, I have ...

Agree with the above. I would say the S.E.S and all it's social trappings are the real issues of any inquiry because they do not have the protection granted by the religious freedom act. If they do have protection from this then it could easily be overruled with the testimonies of just 20 ex members...

And lifted from the same site: http://www.esatclear.ie/~dialogueireland/sp1.htm SCHOOL OF PHILOSOPHY The School of Economic Science, also known as the School of Philosophy, runs courses in philosophy and economics. The ads do not state that the philosophy in question is vedanta, and that what one is...

All my peers that also went to SES in the evenings had various reasons for joining, but it was not compulsory, unless it was their parents that were forcing them to go. I was actually one of those that was forced to go by my SES indoctrinated (at the time) parents, so there was nothing voluntary ab...

should it be the SES that apologises, not just the former teachers? Most definitely. I was psychologically and physically abused by the SES from the age of 8, as well as by the St Vedast teachers. As if being sent to the concentration camp of St Vedast from 6am every morning was not harsh enough, I...

Re: reply to Sparks and Leon M
I would like to point out that the use of the term ?links? assumes a connection of some sort. St James School and the other Schools are actually operations and institutions of the SES ? the approach, philosophy, belief systems, outlook on the world, teaching, whatever are all SES. St James and the ...

demystification
However, throughout my tour of the school, it all began to feel insincere. How can ten-year-olds be expected to concenrate on a single word while meditating, or even understand the full extent of the commitment they are making? Yes, I think they introduce meditation too early. Most children don't a...
