Can anybody explain in simple terms why the SES considers Mozart to be the ne plus ultra of composers whereas Beethoven is ignored? Is it just because of MacLaren's personal tastes or is there more to it?

Re: Finding out

It certainly is difficult to get any straight info on St James. It would be great if someone could post a detailed description of what goes on there these days. Tom, why don't you go along and visit the school and see for yourself? I can guarantee you'd be very welcome at the boys' school, for a st...

Thanks, andrasteia! It certainly is difficult to get any straight info on St James. It would be great if someone could post a detailed description of what goes on there these days. Tom I have posted up (many times [perhaps on another username], and quite detailed in many cases) what goes on in St J...

Do you think it is possible not to hate? After learning a valuable lesson in the short life i have lived, I have relaised that there is good and bad to all things here. What's more, if you hate, you're closing down, or building a mental barrier towands the scheme/thing, in a way that any hate you h...

I hate the SES because members of the SES ran a vicious campaign of child abuse at St Vedast boys' school and, as I am discovering, at least one other school. I hate the SES because they are a nasty religious cult masquerading as a school of philosophy. I hate the SES because they practise brainwash...

Nothing private about it! Also, nothing official or professional about it. It's just that, as a former pupil of St Vedast and a victim of abuse there, I'm interested in finding out what it is in the 'philosophy' and teachings of the SES cult that might have driven many of the staff at its St Vedast ...

I'd just like to point out that Daniel Salaman was a pupil at St Vedast and that, in my experience, virus detecting software can sometimes be a little oversensitive.

Re: meditation...

Just to say about the warming of the fingers.... I think it is a little naive to think this is due to meditation. (sorry, no offense meant- couldn't think of a better word!) If you are meditating inside a building rather than outside in the cold (which I assume was the case!) then the body will nat...

Yes, I found it an interesting read as well. It seems disputes over claims to the seats are a relatively common modern occurrence - foreign intrigue and adventure.;) The writer of that text does speculate that these sorts of disputes would have been handled differently and more expediently in previ...
