Re: former st. james pupil (1982-1985)
Hi Rebel, You make some very valid points, and despite recognising a lot of your experiences as being similar to my own, I agree that you have added your own valuable perspective on the regime. I do have a serious problem with this: However, I was seriously assaulted by one member of staff in the ch...

Re: Die SES, die!!!!!!!!!!1
I cannot claim to have read every single message on this anti-SES forum Maybe you should You are all a bunch of whiny annoying freaks, who cannot get on with their damn present day lives. Well that's a mature attitude that's going to get you a long way isn't it. However, if we put aside your bigote...

Re: Questions from a prospective St James parent
However, I feel it has become impossible for anyone who wishes to question, however mildly, any of the views put forward on this board to get a fair hearing. ...deja vu Lets be clear about this Katharine, everyone here has just as much right to post as anyone else. There is no reason why you can't ...

Once again, I found your post stimulating... Wish I could say the same about yours. This is an unhelpful comment and could be consrued as abusive. I would suggest that if you want your comments to be taken seriously, then you lay off the personal attacks and stick to challenging opinions, facts and...

Re: what do you hope to achieve?
However there are a number of things i do take strong objection to, firstly the fact you are attempting to drag down the reputation of the entire, current St James organisation. Actually, that has never been an aim of the vast majority of the posters here. If the facts that we have posted have had ...

Re: Questions from a prospective St James parent
...We visited the school at the recent open day and we were impressed by the academic side of the school and particularly by the young lads that showed us around. Indeed, and when parents were shown around the schools when we were there, the same highly-polished exterior was shown to them. Unfortun...

Will, Thank you for taking the courage to post, even though I certainly don't remember you as a violent man and don't remember any abuse for which you were directly responsible. It does indeed take courage to share experiences on these boards, and even more to go and meet those people concerned, but...

Bruce, I would be very careful about what you term "trivial". One man's meat is another man's poison.....are you a recognised authority in abuse cases, or are you just measuring others suffering by your own standards? Similarly, what was accepted 20 years ago is largely irrelevant when it comes to p...

Hi Mike, I guess it's one of the problems with running a popular board. Is it possible to disallow entering HTTP links apart from by registered users? maybe that would discourage them. I think it would be a fair assumption that a guest with a harrowing story to tell could do it without posting links...

Hi Alex, I remember you well, you were in my class and I do remember that you were one of the ones that were picked on more than most. There were several boys that fell into that caegory and I just cannot see the logic for continuing to beat someone when it has been shown not to work. Were they tryi...

Different Guest, you are absolutely right. The situation you describe is very pertinent to my own experiences here and a few others I have talked to. I didn't think I was carrying a burden around for all this time, yet firstly describing my experiences and secondly reading apologies from DH and BB, ...
