To me this translates they are only being "inclusive" cos of recent legislation. Note later how difficult they make it for students with any sort of special need or disability to enrol. Keep in mind the SES has some rather odd views about people born with disabilities. Something about getting the b...

ADG and Chris, Can you please stop this nonsense, pointless discussion on this forum it is immensely dull. The point that seemed to spark this discussion was about the 'Englishness' of the poetry written on the Erasmus school site. To me, the boys' poems seem to be inspired by the speech in Hamlet b...

Nick your name rings a bell were you in the school cadet unit during the transition from St Vedast to St James? Did you have a brother there? or were you in the same class as my brother John? a very elequently put post. I agree completley with it all being a failed experiment where we were the guin...

but it seems the Inquiry doesnt include the girls school. so it seems - but cannot they be pushed to include the girls school? There are a few other girls from the schools here - could those girls start PMing each other maybe? As I have said elsewhere on these boards, I suspect that what went on at...

7th Form site
The girls pictured are from my sister's old class at St James. One is the daughter of a current St James teacher and all are in the youth or foundation group in SES.
They're all pretty though and I imagine that was the point of using that photo.
BTW - still no response from Ms Betts

Unanswered questions
I am waiting for a response from Mrs Betts to my questions emailed via the address given on the 7th form website. I have yet to receive acknowledgement of or response to these questions despite submitting them 9 days ago. I will be submitting a complaint to the inquiry only if I am satisfied that th...

Yes, you all suffered, but that shouldn't obstruct acceptance that St James has changed, and changed radically. The experiences of current St James pupils are quite relevant to this discussion. St James may have changed radically - although I'm not convinced of this claim yet - but the fact remains...

C Betts
Who is C.Betts. How do we know she is 'independent' She has not explained herself in any detail. We have 'unravelled' her and she hasn't even 'started' to explain the inquiry in any detail and we are nearly at the cut off point. I think the point is that she has only written two posts. That is the ...

Apologies for accusations made and any offence caused by mentioning Auschwitz etc... I realise now that this was an error of judgement I do not think that dissecting your posts on this forum is relevant or useful. I would like to post more of my thoughts on the subject of SES ideology and philosophy...

Re: GROW UP 'OVER' MILITANTS
I think any comparison to Auschwitz is really completely tasteless. I think also to call the supposed 'abuse' CRIMES so unthinkingly is pathetic. Get real. Having your leg sawn off is a crime. I suppose being hung up on a coat peg is a minor crime. But I think some of the rhetoric on this site is l...

Glad I could help. Strange really that so many years go by without really giving it a second thought and then it all comes flooding back. Watching the recent TV covering the Auschwitz memorials showed that those poor souls who witnessed such evil and suffered so badly had, in most cases that I saw, ...

Your point is duly noted. The issue, as I see it, is that the School should take upon itself the responsibility of discovering the truth - as David Boddy states is the first step. The implication of the revised statement on Jan 25th is that they are not interested in the truth only in answering comp...

SES philosophy and the SES schools for children
How can the SES and St James continue to so blatantly ignore the reality of this message board and the issues it has raised? As far as I can see there have been 3 supporters of either the SES or St James ? not for some time, however ? and certainly none for St Vedast. The inquiry seems utterly point...
