A progress report?
Thanks for your interest 'a different guest'. I'm sure you will appreciate that unfortunately posting a progress report here would in fact compromise and detract from our talks with the school due to their delicate and confidential nature. These boards are also monitored by SES hierarchy, and I susp...

Quite right too Alban. And a message for Jerome Webb: Jerome, thank you for your posts, but I fail to see anything new or relevant about your 'offer' as our collective is already in talks with Hyde, Boddy, and Debenham on this matter (and have been for some time). I would have thought you had been a...

Also, I wish to add that I feel a public apology is in order only after private apologies have been made, for the reason that the perpetrators should first be aware of the evidently long-lasting effects of their actions on every individual, or as many individuals as possible. Now there I am in agre...

Re: They woz mad!
Hello Ex Pupil, I read your posting with interest. I went to St James for 10 years. Lets be honest - parts of it were incredibly good - very caring, very educational. The fact that it's balanced out here by praise does appear to lend some credibility to the appalling allegations that you make, but I...

lowpass - I've read with horror the many appalling stories on these boards - but I always assumed that the abuse was confined to the senior school. Testimonies on this forum by 'Lowpass', 'Bluelight' and 'Ex-Pupil' give evidence that the abuse was rife throughout both schools, and possibly even the...

Re: St Vedast (now St James):- Alex Woolf's Testimony
Dear anonymous guest (I wonder why you choose to conceal your identity),
If you read carefully what I wrote you'll see I said "continued with the abuse". I never said the abuse is still taking place today.

Anger - The legacy of St Vedast
We are now grown men in our thirties, some of us even married and with children. But we are still very, very ANGRY about this. We shall continue to be angry about this and speak out publicly against St James, St Vedast, the SES, and all of it's affiliated organisations (including those that continue...

Re: St Vedast (now St James):- Alex Woolf's Testimony
Thank you Alex for yet another excellent account of what life was really like at St Vedast. What impresses me most about it is the complete lack of any kind of exaggeration. You describe it frankly, exactly like it happened and you're completely honest when you didn't witness something first hand, b...

Now that they're no longer twice our size....
With reference to the above postings, a group of ex-pupils have already established what is so far, a positive and conciliatory dialogue with SES hierarchy and steps are currently underway to illicit an acknowledgment and apology from the 10 individuals concerned. A lot of this material has already ...

The above posting appears to confirm that abuse and persecution was taking place at St James as well as St Vedast. This seems hardly surprising as many of the "teachers" were, and still are, employed in both schools. It could be argued that in some ways this situation was even worse as it involved c...

Hi Tom, Great! I'm happy we're agreed and that we've managed to resolve this {:o) I have always liked and got on very well with you too, and it would have been a great pity if this matter would have tarnished all my happy and positive memories of our friendship. I have a profound respect and gratitu...
