The inquiry terms of reference are still in mid-negotiations. Why are they asking for all "submission of complaints" to be received by 16th March (only 12 days after this latest announcement!) before the terms of reference have even been agreed on? What is their hurry to get this all over with as qu...

Maybe it really is the worst piece of music to ever be composed? And I think this honour actually goes to MacLaren himself for 'composing' "Holy is Gowinda". Or was it him that penned "Thou has't put a golden stopper into his mouth..." etc ? Can't remember if they were different songs or not, my me...

More lies and deceit
When I, Tom and Dan, met Mr Debenham last summer he tried to make out that all these problems only occurred in St Vedast boys school. He described many of us as being 'difficult', and in good need of some firm discipline. He said the St James pupils had always been very happy and there had never bee...

Relevant to this thread is Paul van Oyen's website:-

He was once MacLaren's chaffeur. There are references to Waterperry, Stanhill Court, and the origins of the SES.

Does anyone remember Mr Bedford? ... He used to clear his nose out with a hanky....every lesson! This is to be contrasted with Noel Skinner, who used to clear his nose with his finger each lesson. !!! ...whilst he made us chant those bizarre Chaucer songs, eg:- Somer est e comen in, loudeth ...

Just because I don't contribute to these boards as actively as I used to it doesn't mean that I still don't read every single word written here with very keen interest. After a whole year of writing, campaigning, and basically getting this whole thing started, its now time for me to return to other ...

Indeed. Along with two other former St Vedast pupils, I met Nicholas Debenham last year. He stated that "everyone" at St James "was happy" and that pupils at St Vedast "accepted" their punishment. Myself and Dan Salaman were the other two former St V pupils at that meeting, and I can vouch for Tom ...
