He is also the father of a couple of boys who went to St James in the early days and who have been very active recently in attacking its staff and governors. That's quite an accusation to be throwing around, Kevin. Where or what is your evidence for this?? I suggest if you want to maintain any cred...

Completely agree. As long as this cult remains involved in children's education the negative publicity will NEVER go away. Its been there or thereabouts for the last 25 years so its about time they got used to it. Pretty much a no-brainer really. Founding a religious cult for adults is one thing but...

I feel I must point out for the benefit of people reading this board that Christopher Southwell in particular was also extremely abusive (both physically and emotionally) to many of the female pupils he taught. He certainly made my life a living hell. I can certainly vouch for that, ET. Ditto here....

I couldn't agree more, Bonsai. It might be worth contacting the article's author, Conor Feehan at http://www.independent.ie/service/contact-us-24070.html If he was made aware of the full horror of these schools' background perhaps he might consider doing a follow-up article, if for no other reason t...

it seems you still think I'm trying to defend the SES! Ok, well lets put it this way - you've been, shall we say, ambiguous over this issue ever since you first started posting on this board. One thing's for sure, you've perplexed a lot of posters here over the years, coming across on the one hand ...

It does, however, point to the view that one needs to be careful when criticising their beliefs or practices per se, the trap into which the angry parent fell. But you haven't answered the underlying and central point, made to you several times, that the angry parent had been duped in the first pla...

Once again, more of the same tired and lame arguments by SES defenders. How many times does it need to be repeated: its not a problem with Hinduism, Advaita Vedanta, or any other religion per se. Its the deliberate deception, opaqueness and blatant disingenuousness which hoodwinks prospective parent...
