Anti_SES I sometimes wonder if you are deliberately misreading my posts or just doing it to piss me off. I didn't say that David Boddy is the voice of the SES - that was YOUR comment. I merely made the point that as the man in post as headmaster of St James school he is responsible for talking on be...

Re: Ruth Kelly - Parliamentary Question

David Boddy, Headmaster of St James Senior Boys School has asked me to post the following message: ...... We would also remind all concerned that the Townend Inquiry was established voluntarily by the governors. We also take this opportunity of inviting anyone who wishes to take part in the reconci...

That is what I suspected might happen so I simply said the same things I have been saying on this site for god knows how long and signed it 'Keir' without giving any further details of my address or surname. I have experienced promises being broken before on so many occasions that it is almost like ...

I just cant get a handle on where you are coming at this from anti_ses! Are you suggesting that poor old DB is suffering silently, a tortured soul just dying to break the party line and rush hands outclasped at the nearest group of ex-students shouting 'mea culpa'? He hides it well! Are you on the o...

Patrick, Any further news re your planned intervention with the SES seniors? I am curious to know how you got on. Trying not to be sarcastic and cynical is all very well, but with the greatest respect, with seemingly no forward motion despite solidarity from current pupils in St J and members of SES...

anti_ses, I don't imply that I distrust the motives of Teacher100, or indeed anyone who speaks up for the 'current' school, I simply say that I have a problem trusting posters that suggest that everything has changed whilst they are in a school with a well-documented past in minimising the opinions ...

I think you'll find that the Wimpy bar was opposite Gloucester Rd station  Will Rassmussen: the only teacher to smile when Debenham shouted "Willy, stand up" in morning assembly at 33. One of the few to have apologised in a heartfelt manner and I believe met with former pupils face to fac...

The overall aim of such a meeting must be to bring people closer together - which involves getting the important questions on the table and insisting on / receiving clear, meaningful, honest answers - all done in a non-confrontational way. The problem is that with every delay, fudge, bluster, PR-pr...

And did you notice how easily the apology flowed from him once he realised his mistake - no inquiry, no denial, no head in sand etc etc.

Now I will shut up.

I agree, There are many good people I met whilst at SES, and some real monsters. The real monsters tended to be in the senior groups but that was by no means a rule. I think that the good people I knew gradually left and the monsters stayed on, possibly because of the allure of power the further up ...
