Theo, my response was in connection with your suggestion that you didn't even know if the teachers were alive or not, when you know full well that several are still there today; and also to correct your fallacy that it all happened 30 years ago. As for the proper role of school governors I would sug...

Re: "INQUIRY REVEALS CULTURE OF VIOLENCE" Times Ed
IT IS STILL NOT CLEAR IF ANY OF THE TEACHERS REFERRED TO IN THE INDEPENDENT INQUIRY ARE STILL EMPLOYED BY THE SCHOOLS. SOME EX-PUPILS HAVE CLAIMED ON THIS BULLETIN BOARD THAT 3-4 OF THE TEACHERS EMPLOYED AT THAT TIME ARE STILL WORKING AT THE SCHOOLS Justice, there are at least 4 of these teachers s...

the govenors don't run the school The governors don't run the school? Really? Well who does then? And what, therefore, is the governors role? Otherwise it would'nt have been the head's initiative to start the investigation ????? Sam, it was the governors inquiry. Their initiative, they set it up, d...

I believe that the teachers that punched, kicked and beat you with cricket bats should make a public apology to your face, if they are still alive of course , seeing as it did happen 30 years ago. The O, You are obviously unaware that not only are they still very much alive and kicking, at least fo...

Hello Sam, good to hear from you and welcome. I've known your parents and grand-parents for many years. I was wondering how you came to be elected head-boy. To what degree was it down to nepotism? Also, why do you announce at the end of all your posts that you are "Laughing your arse off!!!!!"? Give...

Numbers update
Many thanks to everyone who has signed the letter so far. At the last count we have 52 signatories. I will wait a little longer before sending it to St James to allow more time for anyone else who wants to sign it.

Thank you non-conformist, you can add your support by emailing openletter@tiscali.co.uk with your name and what your connection is to St James/SES. And many thanks to all the others who have done likewise. A numbers update will be posted shortly.

I think Stanton was referring to the SES, not St James. When SES people talk of 'The School' they are referring to the SES. My mistake for the mix-up! And yes of course Pincham is still the chair of governors for St James. Frith, it must have taken a lot courage for you to post here, so thank you. I...

PLEASE SUPPORT AN OPEN LETTER TO ST JAMES SCHOOLS
Re: The SES, and the Townend inquiry into St James Schools I have written an open letter which is now in circulation, demanding St James schools take action following the findings of the Inquiry . This has been posted here: http://www.whyaretheydead.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=4535 I hope you will c...

PLEASE SUPPORT AN OPEN LETTER TO ST JAMES SCHOOLS
Exactly two years ago (February 2004) I decided to write about my childhood experiences as a pupil at St Vedast School (now St James) and the SES . When I posted my account on this website I could never have imagined the enormous response that followed, or that two years later St James would have pu...
