Re: Gerasene's Cave.
Gerasene Demon, I'm going to have to 'give you a rest' from the board for a few days to let you spend some time on other things. I don't do this lightly but your participation on the forum has obviously not been healthy for you in the past few days. Also experience suggests that when one user starts...

Can I delete my post?
I have been asked by several users in recent months whether they can delete posts, so I might as well put my response here. You can delete your post for up to 7 days as long as no-one else has posted in the same thread. The rationale for this limitation is that once someone has replied then it inter...

I also remember Debenham day after day viewing us in the showers, particularly on Saturday mornings. He would deliberately send us to have a shower if he thought we weren't sufficiently alert, which of course was all the time.

Re: Apologies
I have just got my regular PC started again.
I've found and changed a setting that should let you edit your posts.
I would prefer it if people did not go back and delete all their posts but I'm not going to stop anyone if they want to do so.

Apologies
My apologies to anyone who over the past 4 weeks tried to register a new account or email me. I have been using another computer during this period and completely forgot about this forum and my admin mail account. I believe I have activated all the non-spam accounts that were created in this period,...

Here is Bluemoon's image: http://reference.ses-forums.org/wp-content/uploads/Academy-210x300.jpg I don't seem to be able to get it to display any larger here, but for a larger image click on this link: http://reference.ses-forums.org/wp-content/uploads/Academy.jpg. Most browsers will allow you to cl...

Re: Exit-counselling
I wanted to upload a sketch image of a painting at Waterperry to see if anyone knows what it’s all about, but I can’t do it as pdf or docx. If you are there Daffy - how can this be done? I have seen a photo on here somewhere, so it must be possible.Bluemoon You can upload material like this to http...

Re: Exit-counselling
For what it's worth, no-one claiming to represent the SES has ever contacted this forum asking for material to be taken down. If I received any threat of legal action I would likely ignore it and/or reproduce it here for all to see.

Re: EXPERIENCES AT ST. VEDAST (now St. James) AND THE S.E.S
Back in February there was a discussion about un-stickying this thread. A 'sticky' thread is one that stays at the top of the list of threads even when there hasn't been any recent posts. I unstickied it at the request of one of the 'founding' contributors to this forum. Since then I've received var...

Re: Just for fun...really?
Just confirming that I have not removed any posts. I don't recall deleting any post since this site moved to its current location nearly 3 years ago, but if I did I would certainly give a reason.

Re: Where I'm at
Chittani, I believe this is normal - when you send a PM it sits in your outbox until it's actually read by the recipient, at which point it moves to your sent box.
This also means that, unlike an email, you can edit your PM before it's read.

Re: Message to Daffy about the Site
Hi woodgreen, I'm not aware of any setting that results in users automatically being logged out. Users should stay logged in indefinitely. Login problems are usually to do with 'cookies', so try clicking on 'Delete all board cookies' on the bottom right of the screen. You'll need to login again but ...

Re: EXPERIENCES AT ST. VEDAST (now St. James) AND THE S.E.S
Any more views, anyone...? My reasoning for agreeing to unsticky the thread was similar to that expressed by woodgreen. If it had been a request from a contributor well down this thread I'd have said no, but it came from someone to whom we all owe a big debt of gratitude for being among the very fir...

I'd welcome other people's views on this as well. What do you think?
