Re: SES CULT + ST. JAMES SCHOOLS MULTI MILLION POUND EMPIRE
The only criticism of the SES /Sopp in that article is a brief nod to Leon Maclaren's sexism, in days gone by. The implication is that ladies are no longer expected to serve men, as that all died along with him. GQ might like to know that women are still struggling for some degree of equality in SES...

Re: My letter to Australian GQ (re Hugh Jackman article)
Well said ET, I hope they print it.
I read the whole article and it almost looked like an advert for SoPP, which led to me wondering if Brendan Shanahan is actually a member. I googled him and he's an independent writer.

Re: Parenting
I was listening to the radio the other day about a book written by a woman who argued that idleness is very important for children to experience. She was concerned that today's children have too much done for them, given to them, done with them and arranged to occupy them. It is when they are idle/b...

Re: St James "Philosophy Courses"
I've never thought to question the Golden Age till you said that ET. It was something Dad said so I believed it. Didn't realise it was SES stuff. I thought it was fact. HAha, that is laughable now I think about it.

Re: Coming to terms with stupidity
My dad is occasionally on some kind of mission to awaken me to spirituality and all things supernatural . Every now and again I feel like he's trying to convert me, and I rise to it, as if I could have any more luck making him see things my way. I give up eventually and nod smilingly, and escape qui...

Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU
Bluemoon don't leave. I just meant that I joined the forum for one thing and discovered another. I would not have kept logging on if I hadn't been learning about all sorts of things I hadn't realised and that I find interesting. I have no idea what it is like to join an organisation like this as an ...

Re: Post-Cult After Effects
If you look at it this way, most humans are naturally drawn towards one cult or another. And those seekers who end up having their lives controlled by a small time cult leader were no different to those being told what to do by the Pope and his version of the bible. it's just that most catholics are...

Re: Post-Cult After Effects
yes and only because enough people joined the cult. More recently the mormons were considered a cult but have now grown big enough to be considered one of the main american religions. And with it have earned respect and yet more members. Back in the days when the now respected christian sects includ...
